My current book project expands on my award winning dissertation, “Sex, Gender, and HRT: The Hormonal Body Projects of Cis Women and Trans Women,” to explore normative ideas about hormone levels and hormonal embodiment throughout the American life course. I am interested in where these ideas come from, who constructs them, and the consequences of these ideas on gender, embodiment, and inequality.
